What we like
- Fun: You cannot be bored at this house: with the big heated pool for a long swimming season, the floodlit court for tennis at all hours, and there is also table tennis, a pool table and, of course, boules.
- View: A fabulous high, far view of hills and the Luberon mountain, available from almost everywhere in and outside the house, including the master bath-tub.
- Design: The mix of old and new is a great success, and there are plenty of spaces and different spots for 10 people never to feel on top of each other.
Things to note
- Air Conditioning: The air conditioning is only in bedroom 3.
- Low beam: The pool has an electronic cover for security, but extra care should be taken with young children.
Guest reviews
Fontvert is in the countryside 500 metres (0.3 miles) from the village of St-Martin-de-Castillon – less than 10 minutes’ walk.
St-Martin-de-Castillon is a tiny, typical Provence village perched on a hill overlooking the valley and the Luberon mountain to the south. St-Martin-de-Castillon is small but has a cafe/restaurant and a grocery store with fresh bread and chicken rotisserie. This is dream hiking country, and the GR11 walking trail goes right through the village, and on past the surrounding lavender fields. The market town of Apt is 12km (7 miles) to the west.
