  Inside

Approaching the house from the extensive, mature gardens via a pretty stone pathway, the front door leads into a fresh, well equipped kitchen with plenty of storage space, more of those valley views and access to all areas of the house. Once inside, guests will find a home that has been recently renovated, incorporating many modern appliances and giving a real sense of brightness, but retaining a wonderful original Provencal feel.

On the ground floor there is a large open plan dining area with original beamed ceilings and an open fireplace, a large dining table and access to a further large living room area with a TV and a large sofa. There are also 2 terraces allowing for al fresco dining with easy access from the kitchen area. There are 3 double bedrooms, 2 of which share a well-appointed bathroom with separate toilet, and a master suite that has it’s own office/study and en-suite. Upstairs there is another large bedroom with it’s own en-suite.

  • Kitchen/Utility: A well equipped kitchen with views of the Luberon hills across the valley below. Provencal style cupboards and worktops provide ample space for meal preparation and modern appliances give the space a premium feel. There are two coffee machines, one using Tassimo and the other Nespresso capsules, as well as a kettle and toaster. There is also a large wine fridge, a 4 hob induction hob with separate oven and another double American style fridge in the utility area. The utility room also has a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a dishwasher and microwave. There is a door to the rear garden and pool.
  • Dining area: Leading off from the open plan kitchen is the large dining room, a traditional tiled and beamed room with a large wooden dining table seating 8. This room serves as the hub of the house, with a large lounge/family area to the rear of the room, two covered terraces to the front and access to the bedrooms from the side. It is a light and airy space, with a traditional fireplace that really adds to the Provencal feel.
  • Salon/Family room: This large, bright room with beamed ceilings overlooks the pool area to the rear of the house. There is a large L-shaped sofa and a large 4K flat screen TV, perfect for family movie nights or an afternoon siesta.
  • Terrace 1: At the front of the house, off the dining area and with direct access to the front garden, there are 2 terraces. The first is a completely outdoor space with patio doors leading to the second terrace and back into the house. This area is covered and has wide views over the valley. There is a dining table and a beautiful stone floor, making it ideal for family evening meals.
  • Terrace 2: The second terrace is also accessed from the dining room and terrace 1. There is both a small dining table and a small seating area, all beautifully enclosed by conservatory style sliding glass doors, making this the ideal space to relax with a morning coffee or read a book in the afternoon to escape the midday sun.
  • Bathroom: The large bathroom is beautifully appointed with a large shower, wall-mounted toilet and twin stone sinks with brass fittings. The bathroom is bright with a rear aspect overlooking the garden.
  • WC: A modern WC is separate from the bathroom.

  • Bedroom 1: On the ground floor, this tastefully decorated room has a 160cm bed, wooden floors and a chest of drawers for storage. The bedroom overlooks the front garden and benefits from air conditioning.
  • Bedroom 2: Also on the ground floor, this large double bedroom has a 160cm bed, a large built-in wardrobe and also overlooks the garden. This bedroom shares a bathroom and separate WC with Bedroom 1.
  • Bedroom 3: This bedroom has both rear and side views with a door leading directly to the rear garden and pool area. There is a separate office area which leads through to the bedroom with a 160cm bed. There is an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin. This room benefits from air conditioning.
  • Bedroom 4: This bright bedroom with an en-suite bathroom is located on the upper floor and is accessed via a small staircase. There are two large dormer windows bringing in plenty of natural light.  There is a 160cm bed and a large window with views over the rear garden. There is a stunningly decorated en-suite bathroom with a sink and toilet as well as the highlight of this room, a wonderfully situated bath, underneath a dormer roof window, giving views up to the stars. It should be noted that there is limited headroom in this bedroom.

The outside spaces are the real champion feature of this house. The 1 hectare mature garden is completely private and not overlooked at all, as it is, situated up high facing the Luberon Valley and maximises the views of the valley and the majestic Luberon hills beyond. There is a lovely selection of mature trees and shtubs and a long stone driveway leading to the property.

The 12 x 4m pool is surrounded by stones and can be seen and accessed from the rear of the house. It is positioned to maximise the views and also has a relaxing covered sunbathing area with sun loungers facing the pool.

The garden is large so there is plenty of space for children to play or for guests to find places to sit, read, take a siesta or just take in the views.

For outside dining, there are several options, a dining set underneath the shade of the front terrace or a BBQ at the rear of the property and eating on the rear terrace.

There is also a pétanque court to the rear of the house, again overlooking the valley.

There is plenty of parking under the shade of the trees at the front of the house.

Location – Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt

Villa Perreal is in the countryside about 2km from the village of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt.

Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt is perched on the hillside on the northern side of the Luberon valley with views sweeping across is length.  The village has a delightful old town and there are many restaurants, boulangerie, and Tabac.

Above the village winds the ancient ramparts of the ruined castle alongside which makes for a great walk up to see the 11th-century church, the castle ruins next to the dam, and the several windmills dotted around the landscape, the views are a fine reward for your efforts.

The town also has tennis courts, a pump track, and an outdoor swimming pool.
