This property, built in typical Provençal style has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.  The house’s main feature is the communal space, with a beautiful open kitchen and dining area as well as a wonderful outside terrace, swimming pool, pétanque court and gardens, all with views of the Luberon Hills.

  • Main living room: a large space with sofas and armchairs, equipped with TV, books and a piano, all with views towards the garden and suffused with light from the impressive stained glass window. This main area leads directly to the terrace where you can enjoy a drink with views across to the Luberon
 
  • Kitchen Diner: a beautiful modern style kitchen full equipped with all you require for preparing delicious provencal meals.  For coffee there is a bean-to-cup machine Delonghi Magica.

There is an L-shaped breakfast bar with stools for informal dining, and a dining area with a circular table and seating for 4 to 6 people, a banquette sofa links the downstairs areas together offering a large and very social space.  

  • Office/study area: This space has a comfortable sofa, a desk and a range of books with access to it’s own terrace area, it is the perfect place to either work or relax away from the larger shared areas.

The house sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. The 2 upstairs bedrooms enjoy access to the modern bathroom, complete with jacuzzi style bath, a large contemporary shower and washbasin. One downstairs bedroom benefits from access to the garden via the office space.

  • Bedroom 1: A welcoming bright and sunny room with dual aspect windows giving views over the garden. Plenty of storage and attractive wooden furniture compliment this modern and clean room.
  • Bedroom 2: Another bright room with simple and elegant furniture, including a large wardrobe and a dressing table, with views towards the Luberon Hills.
  • Bedroom 3: Situated on the ground floor, this double bedroom with large wardrobe has access to the outside space via the office, as well as a large window bringing in plenty of light and more tantalising views of the outside space.  This room has its own shower room, there is also an independent w.c.

The garden stretches out into the landscape with views to the hills beyond, near to the house you have the wonderful 12m x 5m heated pool which looks so inviting.  For sun worshippers there are sun loungers along the pool terrace. 

To relax away in a shady spot there is a welcoming shaded terrace projecting from the house.  Here you will find a wonderful sofa for lounging on and a table and chairs.   

A dining terrace accessed from the kitchen is ideal for alfresco dining and also has a gas BBQ for cooking outdoors too. 

A stroll amongst the trees will find you a shady hammock slung beneath the branches and plenty of space for little ones to play in safely surrounded by a fence.

You arrive at the house along a quiet county lane and the house has electric gates giving access to ample parking for at least 4 cars.

In our view

What we like


  • Location:  Beautiful village setting, with a 2km walk along a quiet road to the famed Luberon village of Lourmarin with all its amenities.
  • Views:  That great view over the Luberon, inviting you to explore some of the amazing local hiking trails.
  • Garden:   Wonderful to have garden and pool in a country setting just minutes walk away from the village.

Things to note


  • Pool safety:  The pool has an alarm but is not fenced. For small children extra care and supervision are required.

Location – Lourmarin


The Villa Puyvert is in a lovely village complete with all the necessary amenities and its famous neighbour Lourmarin just 5 minutes in the car away.

Lourmarin has everything you would want in a Provence village. It is gorgeous to look at, it even has a Renaissance castle and Romanesque chapel just outside the village walls to make it even more picturesque. The range of restaurants is second to none, from simple to high-end. And the centre is packed with street cafes. The icing on the cake is the Friday morning market, one of the best in the Luberon and a must-see even if you are not buying.

Getting there

  • The nearest international airports to Lourmarin are Marseille (57km/35 miles), Nice (206km/128 miles), Nimes (96km/59 miles), Montpellier (151km/93 miles).
  • The nearest TGV high-speed rail stations to Lourmarin are Aix-en-Provence TGV (46km/28 miles) and Avignon TGV (65km/40 miles).
